The Easiest Way To Lose Up To 48 Lbs Without Dieting
By: Melanie Mendelson

If you think there is no easy way to lose weight - think again. The easiest weight loss method could have been staring you right in the face all this time. Here it goes:stop drinking soft drinks. Drink water instead. Dumping the soft drinks from your diet will result in dropping some serious pounds. Think about it:

* A can of coke packs in 150 calories.
* Just 3 cans of coke add up to 450 calories.

Now, you are in for a shock: a cheeseburger sets you back by only 360 calories, which is less than those 3 cans of coke. Now, what would you rather have: a warm juicy cheeseburger or the sugary water from the can?

If you currently drink 3 soda cans a day, you can save 450 daily calories by switching to plain water. Water has zero calories. Let's do the math: since one pound of fat equals to 3500 calories, you will lose roughly one pound per week just by leaving the coke behind.

Yes, you've heard it right - you can lose a pound of fat every week while you eat as much as you normally do. No dieting, no starving - don't change a thing about what you eat. The only thing you change is what you drink.

Now, let's do some more math, which gets better and better. 1 lb per week equals 4 pounds per month. Multiply 4 pounds by 12 months, and we get 48 lbs of ugly fat per year!

Unbelievable, huh?

Calorie savings on drinks provide you with yet another advantage: you can now eat more and still lose weight. For example, if you substituted 3 cans of soda every day with water, you have 450 calories to play with. If you eat an extra piece of chocolate that's worth 200 calories, you still save 250 calories and lose 24 lbs per year.

I can now almost hear you say - "Well, Melanie, what if I don't drink 3 cans of coke a day? I only drink one soft drink for lunch!" Good for you! Now, consider this: if you swap this lunchtime coke with water, you will lose 16 pounds per year. How's that for a freebie weight loss?

Since soft drinks don't make you full, it is very easy to dump them. Drinks are "liquid calories", "empty calories"

- calories that are just not worth it. Soda drinks have no nutritional value - just useless sugars and chemicals that rot your teeth, make you gain weight and don't even fill you up.

Take advantage of the easiest weight loss tip on Earth - eat your calories, don't drink them.

Bikini line hair removal - What not to do
By Paton Jackson

You know how to remove pubic hair but do you know what not to do to prevent accidents and irritations?

Skin around the pubic area is very sensitive and bikini line hair removal can be a quick route to all sorts of skin problems if it’s not done properly. Ingrown hairs, razor bumps, blood spots and red and sore skin are just some of them. Here’s a list of what you shouldn’t do if you want not only a hairless bikini line but a smooth one too.

Shaving

Don’t use a throwaway, switchblade or man’s razor for a pubic hair shave. Use a good quality female safety razor. Make sure the blade is sharp. Using a blunt blade to shave pubic hair will make skin irritations even more likely.

Don’t shave pubic hair too close to the skin, or shave the same area more than twice. You’ll increase your risk of getting ingrown hairs and skin problems if you do.

Don’t shave bare skin during a pubic hair shave. You’ll get razor burns. And don’t use a shaving cream for men or soap as a lubricant. Use a gel or cream for bikini line hair removal. Apply liberally.

Don’t shave inflamed or bleeding skin. You’ll make matters much worse and lastly don’t shave while you’re cold. The razor or shaver will catch your goose bumps.

Waxing

Don’t get a bikini wax just before heading for the beach. You’re skin will be red and sore for at least 24 hours after a bikini wax.

If you you’ve never had your bikini line waxed before, don’t try to do it yourself and never attempt a Brazilian wax yourself. Go to a professional salon or spa.

Depilatory creams

Don’t use depilatory creams on the pubic area other than on the bikini line. They’ll burn your skin. Creams meant for the face should never be used on the bikini line.

If you avoid all of these common mistakes, your experiences of bikini line hair removal should be much better and you’ll be able to head for the beach with confidence.

Aromatherapy Bath Salt Recipe

Water has several powerful therapeutic benefits. After all, it isn’t called miracle water for nothing. When you combine the powers of water with that of aromatherapy essential oils, the therapeutic benefits of both are multiplied and so intensified that the combination has become the basis of many powerful therapeutic treatments. There are numerous types of aromatherapy bath salt recipes administered at spas, Ayuverdic and holistic centers, and health clinics around the world.

Even sports therapy clinics use some aromatherapy bath salt recipes to help patients recover from joint and muscle injuries. Dermatologists sometimes recommend aromatherapy bath salt recipes for patients with psoriasis, eczema, and other dry skin conditions. For hundreds of thousands of years, aromatherapy bath salt recipes have been used by people not just for aesthetic purposes to enhance the skin but for healthful reasons as well. Aromatherapy bath salt recipes contain essential oils that are beneficial to the body, helping to enhance and improve health and well-being.

You can try aromatherapy bath salt recipes at home as well. With just a few ingredients handy, those powerful therapeutic benefits could be yours. Below are some samples of aromatherapy bath salt recipes you can try out.

Aromatherapy Bath Salt Recipe Glow

Use the following ingredients for this aromatherapy bath salt recipe:

1 cup fine bath salt,
4oz grapeseed oil (1/2 cup),
2oz avocado oil (1/4 cup),
1 T d-alpha Tocopheral Vitamin E,
and 20-30 drops essential oil blend.

Mix all oils together and pour mixture into a storage jar made of glass with an airtight seal. Slowly add salt and mix well. The Salt Glow aromatherapy bath salt recipe should be stored in a cool dark place to maximize shelf life. Aromatherapy Bath Salt Recipe: Bath Teas Use the following ingredients for this aromatherapy bath salt recipe: ½ cup coarse bath salt, sweet orange essential oil, dried lavender buds, dried chamomile flowers, and large 3x5 inch tea bags (or Organza or Muslin bags).

Add essential oil to salt and mix well. Next, add dried herbs and stir to combine. Fill each tea bag with approximately 4oz of this aromatherapy bath salt recipe mixture. Package the bags individually and use plastic to seal it. This will prevent the scent from leaking out. To use, simply toss one bag into warm bath water. As the tea bag seeps the salts will melt and the fragrance from the essential oils and herbs will disperse. When done, throw the tea bag away.

Five Tips For Black Hair Care
By Ololade Franklin

Black hair is chemically the same as other types of hair, but it has a unique physical structure that requires special hair care techniques.  If you have Black hair, here are some tips to help your hair look and feel its best.

1. Avoid overwashing your hair. Straight and wavy hair tends to get oily very quickly because of its structure.  This is why it has to be washed quite often.  Black hair is different.  It doesn't get oily quickly because of its tightly curled structure.  This structure keeps sebum, the natural oil that the scalp produces, from flowing along the hair shaft in Black hair.  That is why Black hair is dry, and that is why it should not be overwashed.  Too much washing will cause it to dry out even further.

2. Use hair care products made specifically for Black hair.  Black hair is drier and more delicate than other types of hair, and it needs lots of moisture to stay healthy.  Many hair care products are designed to strip moisture out of the hair, and this is the opposite of what Black hair needs.

3. Avoid brushing your hair.  Use a wide toothed comb, or your fingers, to work with your hair. Brushes can destroy Black hair by shearing it out of the scalp.

4. Avoid sleeping in hair accessories such as curlers, barrettes, scrunchies, head bands, etc.  Wearing these kinds of accessories when sleeping puts unnecessary stress on the hair and can lead to hair damage.

5. Work with your hair to try and find a hairstyle that doesn't put tension on your scalp.  Many Black women suffer from traction alopecia from wearing tight braids, extensions, hair pieces, hair rubbers, and wigs.  If worn frequently, these will pull the hair out and cause the hairline to recede. One style that is easy to do with medium length natural Black hair is to wet the hair, gently comb it, smooth it back and gather it into a scrunchie.  Just be sure to take the scrunchie out at night.  Another style for natural Black hair that is short in length is to wear a soft fabric headband around the head.  Match the headband fabric to the color of your outfit for a nice look.
